I decided to add Australian animals to this collection after the 2019/2020 bush fire season when, it's estimated, we lost close to 3 billion koalas, kangaroos and other animals. The tragic fate of an estimated 60 000 Koalas was of particular global concern considering their already dwindling numbers and endangered status. Because of this recent tragedy and my desire to use my art to help wildlife across the planet, I donated 25% of the sale of this Koala drawing to the Port Stephens Koala Hospital, and will continue donating $5 from every ‘Perseverance’ print sale.
